| Enterprise
Manager is a suite of administration and updating tools
that enables Sophos products and new virus identity files
to be downloaded automatically. The files are distributed
from the Sophos Databank website to a local file server
and then distributed to the desktops running Windows.
Enterprise Manager automatically connects at preset times
and on-demand to check that the downloaded Sophos software
is up to date. The Remote Update application extends this
facility to remote workers, enabling laptops and desktops
to be updated automatically. Enterprise Manager also ensures
the integrity of any downloaded file, checking that it
has not been tampered with or corrupted.
