From a single workstation or server, up to enterprise wide rollouts, LAS Computer Services Limited has a wealth of experience in the installation of new computer equipment, both in the public and private sector.

Inventory Management

When one or two workstations are purchased, it is quite easy to have them delivered and not worry about their storage or security until they are actually installed. With a large number of workstations, the storage and management of their security can be difficult, especially if the installation of the new equipment is not undertaken immediately.

LAS Computer Services Limited can store new equipment until you are ready to start the rollout process, whether you purchasedirect from us or from another supplier. In conjunction with our installation service, we can arrange to have your new equipment delivered to us where we can carry out additional value added processes such as:

• Pre-installation inspections
• Physical and operational validation of the functionality of the new equipment prior to delivery
• Cloning
• Pre-loading of standard operating system, configuration, applications and, if applicable, data
• Additional configuration
• The installation of additional hardware components such as RAM, CD-Writers, etc.

Desktop

Our desktop rollout strategies can be tailored to your individual needs, taking into account not only the operating system and application software loaded on the new equipment, but also migration of legacy applications and data from the retiring equipment. Our engineers can install the equipment into existing environments and tailor the new equipment so that it integrates seamlessly into these environments.

We can liaise with you to create a 'blueprint' image which satisfies the basic configuration of a standard workstation within your organisation. This standard image can then be used to clone all new equipment. In this way, apart from any minor additional configurations, the new equipment configuration becomes standard and, therefore, more easily managed from a support perspective.

Server

Again, our server rollout strategies can be tailored to your individual needs. We can build your servers to the specifications required, whether equipment has been purchased from us or another supplier. The server can then be loaded with the operating system supplied and configured to your requirements.

With the resources at our disposal, we are able to set up 'Labs' in which your new server equipment can be tested in a simulated live environment prior to delivery, again to your requirements.
